Who is Gorilla God?
I have practically been working out all my life.
The high school I went to allowed me to understand how great fitness and sports can make you feel. I went to a boys’ school which put a pretty large emphasis on sports, and the ideas about competition and success in this field found their way to permeate through my psyche and became embedded into my being. I heavily immersed myself in tennis for most of my teenage years while dipping into rugby, field hockey, basketball, and skateboarding whenever I felt like it. I was never the best athlete, but I was certainly very athletically capable – I think that I just lacked discipline.
In late 2019, I began to take a more serious approach to working out. Putting in the research and work I needed to in order to understand my body and how I can allow it to reach its ultimate potential. Unfortunately, COVID-19 entered our lives at the beginning of 2020, and pressed the pause button on many of my fitness goals. With the gyms shutting down and the world going into a financial crisis – I had to put my fitness goals on hold.

I began going back to being the Gorilla God full-time at the beginning of 2022 by signing up for a new gym contract and began formulating a new step-by-step plan to finally achieve my ultimate natural physique.
I have been a pescetarian since the age of 15 and I have been training on and off ever since. I chose this path at such a young age mostly because I was in search of a cleaner life. I felt as though a plant-based diet would lead me closer to achieving this goal. The cleaner life I sought was not just a physically clean one but also a mentally and psychologically clean life.
I think I first began thinking more about this when I found myself questioning “which part of the chicken this is” while having some KFC for dinner. Because I was in boarding school, I had enough access to biology teachers to adequately get to the conclusion of my ‘meat mystery’.
When no one was able to answer my ask, I began to think a bit more critically about whether or not we were even aware of the foods we put into our bodies. For some reason, I felt that I would retain more control by alienating meat from my diet (with the exception of fish, of course).

Has this worked?
Although I hate comparisons, I have had a few encounters in my life which have made me believe that this way of life has led to me experiencing a cleaner lifestyle. In my earlier experiences as a pescetarian, I remember feeling lighter, cleaner, and clearer.
More than 15 years later and I feel that my body, my mind, and soul have eventually become a reflection of this cleaner diet.
